Biological societies bioblitz
Wakehurst's annual biological recorders bioblitz.
Step into our Living Laboratory at Wakehurst.
Last year, Sussex’s biological recording groups joined us to build the baseline survey for Nature Unlocked, our landscape-ecology programme. Their work not only gathered vital data - it inspired young people across the county to explore mammal ID, bat monitoring, and the hidden life of our landscapes.
As we move into the next phase, we’re inviting you to get involved. Help us deepen our understanding of Wakehurst’s biodiversity and be part of unlocking a wilder future.
This is an activity targeted at audiences who experience barriers to visiting us. If you are a CAS (Community Access Scheme) Member please quote your CAS number when you enquire. If you are not please contact wakehurstcommunity@kew.org.
We can only accommodate a limited number of people per session, so registering is essential. Please register in advance by emailing wakehurstcommunity@kew.org with your name, contact email, and postcode, or by phoning 01444 894066 and ask for the Participation team.
