Who is it for?
Our MSc Open Day is designed for prospective students considering one of our MSc programmes, including undergraduates exploring postgraduate study options, graduates looking to deepen their expertise or change career direction, and professionals seeking to upskill or advance their careers.
It is also ideal for anyone interested in studying science at Kew and learning more about our teaching, research, facilities and student experience.
Programme - what will the day look like?
- Morning: free time to explore the Gardens*(optional)
- 1–2pm Introduction to Kew and our MSc programmes
- 2-4pm Workshops and taster sessions with staff, current students and alumni
- 4–5pm Informal chats with the MSc teaching staff and students, over refreshments
*For free entry to the Gardens, please show your confirmation email at any public entrance gate.

FAQs
The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew is easy to reach by public transport, with Kew Gardens Underground station just a short walk from the main entrance, as well as nearby rail and bus connections. Limited parking is available, so we recommend travelling by public transport where possible. Detailed information can be found here.

Kew Gardens is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for all visitors. Step-free access is available across much of the site, with accessible toilets, seating, and mobility vehicle hire offered to support those who need it. If you have specific access requirements, additional information and assistance can be arranged in advance. Please include your accessibility requirements in the enrolment form.
We suggest you bring:
- For exploring the gardens in the morning, comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and lunch (you can also purchase food from the café in the garden). Plan your visit here
- A notebook or device to capture ideas and notes
- A water bottle
- Enrolment registration email address
- Any accessibility or medical information you might need
You are welcome to bring your own lunch or purchase food from the café in the garden if you are exploring the gardens in the morning. Registration will begin at 12:45 pm after lunchtime. There will be comfort breaks between sessions, allowing time to refill water and use the restroom. Light refreshments and drinks will be served during the reception at 4:00 pm.
