Learn how to capture stunning images and unleash your creativity with an expert instructor.

Learn photography concepts, theory and practice, including composition and lighting. You'll practice your skills in a supportive and interactive environment with a focus on practical exercises. Don’t miss this chance to meet fellow photography enthusiasts, exchange ideas, and expand your network.

Important information

To get the most from your experience, we recommend you bring:

  • A fully charged camera, or a smartphone with manual photo settings such as aperture and shutter speed
  • A memory card
  • A notepad and pen
  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • A water bottle for walking around the Gardens

Please note, this workshop is for adults aged 18+ only.

Workshop Structure

10:30 – 11:00
Introduction and group discussion of expectations and experience levels.

11:00 – 14:00
Theory-based learning covering core photography principles: composition, lighting, and camera settings.
Includes a short refreshment break.

14:00 – 15:00
Lunch break.

15:00 – 17:00
Practical photography session in the Gardens with guided exercises and hands-on application.

17:00 – 17:30
Review of work, group feedback, and key learning recap.

About the tutor

Léon Moreau, artistically known as Wild Fox, is a non-binary artist from Belgium who has exhibited their work in exhibitions in Brussels, Lisbon, Paris, London and Montreal. They will also have a solo exhibition at Dartmouth House in London in September 2026. Léon is passionate about human perspectives, empathy and sustainability.
