London’s most enchanting festive light trail returns to Kew Gardens.

Join us for Christmas at Kew 2026, the iconic Christmas lights trail in London, where you'll be welcomed into a stunning botanical world filled with light, music and the enchantment of the season. Experience Kew Gardens illuminated in vibrant hues through an extraordinary array of new light displays.

Whether you’re beginning the holiday festivities with family or ringing in the New Year under the stars with friends, this is the ultimate Christmas celebration in London. Expect unforgettable larger-than-life light installations, sparkling colour tunnels, immersive soundscapes, and a special visit from Father Christmas!

Complete your evening with a traditional fairground, alongside festive street food and warming winter treats - from savoury bites and sweet delights to toasted marshmallows, mulled wine and indulgent hot chocolate.

New for 2026: Adult-only evenings on 3 and 9 December.

Important information

  • Christmas at Kew has limited capacity with timed entry so book now to secure your preferred date and time.
  • The Gardens close at 10pm.
  • Last entry between 7-7.40pm depending on entry gate. Last entry on Christmas Eve is up to an hour earlier.

  • Quiet Access sessions are available on: 21 November, 1, 16 and 26 December for visitors with hidden disabilities, such as autism. They offer a more comfortable experience whilst still benefiting from the sensory magic of Christmas at Kew. We ask that other visitors respect the quiet sessions and do not book during these limited time slots.  Book a Quiet Access session.
  • Bicycles, tricycles, roller skates, skateboards, micro-scooters, balance bikes and other vehicles (except powered wheelchairs) aren't permitted at Christmas at Kew and must be left at the gates.
  • Kew is a charity and buying a ticket for Christmas at Kew helps support our vital work in conservation and biodiversity around the world. We work hard each year to deliver a more sustainable light trail. Learn about our Christmas at Kew sustainability strategy.
  • £1 tickets for Universal Credit or Pension Credit holders apply to standard daytime entry to Kew Gardens and not to Christmas at Kew.
