Donate through your workplace
Payroll Giving is a simple way to make regular donations through your salary. It is one of the most tax-efficient ways to donate. Every £1 you donate only costs you 80p for a basic rate taxpayer and 60p for a higher rate taxpayer. You can donate to charity directly from your pay, before tax is deducted.
Your employer needs to be signed up to a Payroll Giving Agency before donations can start being taken from your salary. Once you’ve filled out and submitted the form below, our Payroll Giving partner Hands On Payroll Giving will contact your employer directly to get everything set up.
Donate your shares
If you have shares which are uneconomical to sell, you may wish to consider donating them to Kew via ShareGift, a UK registered charity (No. 1052686). ShareGift specialises in releasing the money locked up in small shareholdings and can accept donations of any size.
Donating shares is one of the most tax-efficient ways to give to charity. If you are a UK taxpayer, you can claim Income Tax Relief on the value of HMRC-qualifying shares. Additionally, no Capital Gains Tax will apply.
For more information and to donate, please visit the ShareGift website. To support us, please give Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew as your charity suggestion when you send in your gift.
