The Princess of Wales Conservatory is one of Kew’s most striking glasshouses, offering a truly unique and memorable event setting.
Guests are invited to enjoy a drinks and canapé reception while exploring the conservatory’s beautiful architecture and journeying through a series of distinct climates, each showcasing extraordinary plant collections from around the world. This immersive experience creates a captivating backdrop for receptions that feel both sophisticated and unforgettable.
The Princess of Wales Conservatory is an easy distance from all our venues and works perfectly for a post conference drinks reception in conjunction with Cambridge Cottage. Alternatively, you could consider using the glasshouse as a pre-dinner drinks reception space when combined with the Orangery or Temperate House.

Capacity
- Standing reception: 200
Fees for exclusive venue hire
- Monday to Friday: £3,500 + VAT (except bank holidays)
- Saturday or Sunday: £5,000 + VAT
- Hourly rate when used in conjunction with another venue Monday to Sunday: £1,000 + VAT
Dates available for hire
- 5 January to 22 December
- Bank holidays at special request
- Available for standalone hire Monday to Thursday between November and March, otherwise as part of a package
Hire time
- Evening hire only: 5.30pm to 11pm
- Fees cover a 3-hour period within these times
- Additional hours charged as required
