Mini and Young Scientist Backpacks
Ignite your child’s scientific curiosity with one of our scientist backpacks, filled with intriguing items and fun activities.
Visitors aged 3–7 years and 7+ years can explore different areas of the Gardens through a series of hands-on activities. Art materials and seasonal spotter sheets are also provided, and all drawings can be taken home with you.
Backpacks are available to hire on the day from the information desk inside Vic Plaza at Victoria Gate – find us through the shop doors to the left.

Prices
- Day ticket holders £4.50 per backpack. Siblings: £8 for two packs or £12 for three packs.
- Kew members £3 per backpack. Siblings: £5 for two packs or £8 for three packs.
- FREE to families on Universal Credit, Pension Credit, Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), an Essential Carer, Registered Blind or Partially Sighted or Community Access Scheme members.
One proof of identification from the list below is required on collection.
