Planned closures
We're always working to improve our UNESCO world heritage site, so occasionally we have to close some features. Please check before your visit to avoid disappointment.
Our Gardens are open for you to explore.
Ongoing closures
- The Waterlily House is closed for renovation.
- The lift to the Tree Top Walkway will be closed for essential maintenance between Monday 8 June to Friday 12 June 2026.
- The Children's Garden has ongoing essential maintenance taking place. The water area is currently switched off.
- The Board Walk in the Natural Area is closed.
- The Minka House is currently closed for renovation.
- Brentford Gate is undergoing renovations from April 14. The Gate will remain open but we appreciate your patience during the works.
- Parking is prohibited on Kew Road and limited around the area. Consider walking or cycling to us if you are able to.
- There are no lockers or baggage storage facilities available.

The Pavilion Bar and Grill
- Closed from 3pm (last orders at 2.30pm) on 4 June 2026
The Orangery

September 2026 closures
- The Gardens will open later at 11am on 12 and 13 September due to Richmond runfest.
