Set against the backdrop of Wakehurst’s Elizabethan Mansion, Latehurst is Sussex’s bold new after‑hours garden event programme that mixes culture, music and atmosphere.
This July, witness the gardens come alive as dusk settles over the landscape. From twilight performances of jazz, swing, opera and classical music, to immersive events like silent discos and wine walks, there’s something for everyone.

Garden lates
Stay late, soak up the sunset, and slow things down with a golden‑hour stroll through the gardens - open until 9pm.
Mansion Concerts
Grab a cocktail and your pre-concert picnic, then take your seat for an evening of music and performance - from iconic works to classical renditions of pop favourites, from soaring opera to reimagined literature.
Wakehurst Wine Walk: Henry Moore edition
An after-hours wine walk through Wakehurst's extraordinary landscape, in partnership with Artelium Wine Estate.
Silent Disco
Wander, dance or drift through the gardens, with space to move and a soundtrack you control at our silent disco. Family and adult sessions available.
Mansion Jazz
Pack a picnic, relax and let the evening unfold with our open-air jazz concerts, from bossa nova swing to a celebration of jazz powerhouse vocalists.
Food and drink
A range of local street food vendors accompany our events, alongside a full bar, craft coffee and ice cream providers. Vegan and vegetarian options available.
